27th Goleniów Theatre Meetings BRAMAT 2026

21–30.08.2026
Goleniów

Dear Spectators, Guests, Artists, Organizers, and Patrons of BRAMAT!

Dear Friends who co-created the previous editions, giving a piece of yourselves!

Brama has turned thirty. Behind us are stories that cannot be put on paper. At theatre workshops, trips, and festivals, we have met tens of thousands of people, played thousands of performances on six continents. We made mistakes, opened more gates, laughed, and cried. We regretted, celebrated, immersed ourselves in silence and frenetic fun. But every year we opened our gates for you.

We invited friends from Goleniów and all over the world. We created a ritual woven from performances, concerts, singing together, and sleepless nights. For three decades, Brama and the BRAMAT Festival have educated, trained, and developed audiences and artists from Goleniów, who are now achieving huge successes. The town has become part of the cultural, European community, and artistic events have gained depth, courage, and meaning year after year. Goleniów is associated well and widely in this area. We can be proud of this – and there are moments in life when we want to share this pride, blowing out a symbolic 30 candles.

This year we shyly look back. Creating the program, we sketched out further scenes that will tell about Brama better than we could do with words. We invite you to meet long-time friends, immerse yourself in musical and theatrical inspirations that have accompanied us for years, and look into our future.

Our search does not end. Another decade of changes awaits us. What is most important, however, remains the same from the beginning: our heart is the community, which every year creates the gift of BRAMAT for you with a smile.

Thank you, Residents, for caring about BRAMAT.
Thank you, Spectators, for being with us in such large numbers and opening your hearts.
Thank you, Artists, for giving what is most beautiful.
Thank you, Organizers, for your faith and superhuman work you put into this meeting.
Thank you, Patrons, for making our existence possible.

We invite you to the 27th Goleniów Theatre Meetings BRAMAT 2026 — a festival of meetings, memory, gratitude, and constantly opening new gates.

Teatr Przedmieście (Rzeszów, PL) – “Breath”
performance 60’ rampa PL/EN 16+

“Breath” is an intimate story about love, death, and suffering. The lives of the characters take place here on the border of wakefulness and sleep, reality and memory. It is a simple, touching story for a pair of actors, an old bed, a suitcase, a sheet, and a projector that is used to show family photographs and sometimes shoots like a German soldier’s rifle. It is funny, tragic, and quite ordinary, just like life.

Donald Kitt translates the breakthrough discovery, which deprived man of his privileged place in the cosmos, into the language of theater full of humor and perverse reflection.

Can Brama be elegant? 30 years of experience show us that probably not. But that doesn’t mean we can’t sometimes try. We will take you on a journey through the music that Brama has performed in the past, and later we will invite you for a glass of champagne.

performance 60’ rampa EN/PL
+
“Vourkolakas” draws from the Greek folk song about Areti and her deceased brother Konstantis, who sets out on an extraordinary journey to keep a promise made to his mother. The ancient tale of forced departure and loss of home becomes a poignant commentary on the fate of modern migrants, refugees, and people forced to seek a future far from their homeland.
18:30
Grzegorz Dąbrowski (Wielka Lipa, PL) – “Music of Water”
sung poetry concert 60’ rampa
+
“Music of Water” by Grzegorz Dąbrowski is a moody journey through ambient, ballad, and rock sounds, inspired by the calm, rhythm, and constant movement of water. The artist builds compositions live, layer by layer, creating a soothing and engaging musical story. It is a concert that allows you to slow down, rest from the daily hustle and bustle, and find something close to your own experiences in the sounds.
20:00
Pomarańcze w Uchu na Skarpie bez Kartki (Poznań, PL) – “Deceived”
performance 45’ rampa PL/EN 16+
+
Sometimes making a difficult choice and sacrificing what is most important to us is the only way out of a situation. These are never simple decisions, often made when we have no other option and are overwhelmed by a feeling of desperation. But is desperation bad if it forces us to act? “Deceived” is a clear, dynamic mixture of absurdity and everyday realism – it’s a story that will amuse, sadden, and surprise!

Now the legendary Romanian orchestra will stand on the Rampa in person, armed with trumpets, tubas, saxophones, and a tempo that is hard to keep up with. PoeM (Turin, IT) – “Sette a Tebe – un terribile amore per la guerra”
performance 55’ rampa IT/EN
+
An anti-war musical performance which – much like the festival-opening “Ghost Dance” – raises questions about violence, community, and responsibility. In besieged Thebes, the enemy turns out to be a brother, and the ancient text of Aeschylus meets contemporary voices and the experience of the younger generation.
