“Love will not die” is the result of a long-term process initiated by Brama Theater in 2022. Daniel Jacewicz invited Malgorzata Sikorska-Miszczuk and Jaroslaw Chilkiewicz to collaborate on creating the music and libretto for the show, which Brama prepared. The rock opera was presented in Poland and abroad, involving hundreds of people in Europe. This album is the immortalization of a unique adventure that brought people from many worlds together around one idea.

When I wrote these songs I was endlessly sad. That’s where “Volcano of Melancholy,” “Falling” and “Little Boy at the Altar” came from. It was still fresh in my mourning for the pandemic when the war in Ukraine suddenly began. The world as I knew it was falling apart. Feelings ceased to be important as the forces for which destruction and destruction were god were unleashed. I knew that love, the open heart in a person, would lose to these demons. However, I also wanted to shout that I infinitely believe that love will never die, even when it dies and sees its dead body. This is what I wrote the final text of “Love Will Not Die” about. It will not die – as long as we are alive.

However, the most valuable and beautiful experience in working on this rock-opera turned out to be the fellowship with people. I never thought that words and music could blend so lightly, inspire, frill – as it happened during our work with Jarek Chilkiewicz, the composer of the music.

Thanks to Jarek, thanks to director Daniel Jacewicz, thanks to Ola Slusarczyk and Evanthi Athanasiadi, sadness was no longer the main player. There was “we” – believers in art, music and words. And that is sometimes enough.
