"Station of Memories ” was a nine day exchange involving youth from Poland and Germany. Together, all 20 of the project’s participants dealt with the subject of displacement. As we started to plan the project, we drew ideas from the text: "Man on nobody’s land, wanders and looks for his own space ”. It was the aim of project to meet with ordinary people and help them discover their own histories. Themes touched upon during the project are also of concern in Europe presently. Participants led discussions on the subject of European values, such as tolerance, human rights, solidarity and democracy. Dialogue and informal education were important elements of the project.
The result of this exchange was a theatrical performance telling the emigration histories of both Polish and German people. In addition to theatrical workshops youths participated in media and design workshops. They interviewed immigrants who were then included in the performance.
